In Daheshism, there are no “secrets” or hidden meanings. These teachings are perfectly logical for any open-minded individual to newly discovered truths—an individual that seeks to harmonize religion, philosophy, and all sciences.
To explain Daheshism, we must ask: Do you believe in a Creating Force?
If you do believe, then how do you explain:
- The age of the universe and the biblical creation narrative?
- The Archeological evidence of living entities on earth dating back to tens or hundreds of million years and the 6,000 years of the biblical narrative?
- Is science wrong or is religion wrong?
- The presence of so many religions?
- The variance in intellect between species?
- The variance in intellect between human beings?
- The physical and social disparities between human beings?
- Condemnation to eternal life in hell by a loving God?
If you don’t believe, then how do you explain:
- The origin of the massive energy that produced the Big Bang?
- Not having a single evidence that complex biological life evolved randomly from chemical reactions on earth or elsewhere?
- The existence of conscience?
- The meaning of life?
We live at an age where human beings are sending unmanned vehicles to the planets of our solar system and are deploying telescopes outside of earth’s atmosphere to minimize distortion while peeking through time down to the first lights after the Big Bang. Advances in biology, chemistry, quantum mechanics, and computer science are ushering in the age of the digital revolution, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and the mapping of the human and nonhuman genomes along with advances in gene editing that may lead to the eradication of many of the incurable diseases human beings suffer from.
It is an exciting era, but it is also a sad one! We have seen the damage human beings are inflicting on this planet by the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, the loss of habitat for many animals, and the danger of a nuclear conflict that threatens to wipeout life from the face of this earth for thousands of years. In the past 100 years we have witnessed two World Wars and many regional conflicts that continue to this day. Add to that many of the conflicts instigated by religious intolerance leading to barbaric deaths, mass homelessness, and unbelievable destruction.
Religion and science continue to diverge. Many scientists no longer believe in a Creator and have been influencing the way people think. Many that belong to religious beliefs are not religious at all. Traditional religions are unable to explain the vastness of the universe, the Big Bang, the probable existence of life throughout the universe, the discovery of fossils that date back to over 65 million years–a refutation of the religious belief that life began only a few thousand years ago. Evolution verses Creation and Evolution verses Intelligent Design continue to be hot topics for many.
Daheshism is a 21st century Spiritual Message of Guidance that bridges the gap between religion and science, for there can never been a conflict between a Spiritual truth and a scientific truth. If religion fails to explain a scientific truth, then our religious understanding is flawed. Daheshism embodies the essence of all religions, yet it goes beyond any of them in order to quench the thirst of truth seekers by providing them with a unique perspective on the Universe, our existence, and purpose in life. It is a new garment for the body of traditional thought and belief. The aim of Daheshism is to provide a universal belief that encompasses all other beliefs. It accomplishes synthesis rather than fragmentation of religious beliefs and expansion rather than contraction of philosophical thought.
Daheshism is an endless quest for the truth, while recognizing that our perception of the “truth” is relative. There are no absolutes in the physical world that we live in. Taken in this context, no one religion has a monopoly over the “truth”. All religious beliefs call for decency, ethical behavior, compassion, and doing good. They are better described as many roads leading to one destination, for their essence is the same. Daheshism, in earnest, is a unifying faith that encompasses all beliefs.
Daheshism calls for compassion towards fellow human beings and to the plight of the needy, sick, and disadvantaged. It is a true call for the brotherhood of mankind, where race, gender, country of origin, wealth, class, and religious beliefs are not used to create chasms between us, but rather to instill in us respect towards each other and to celebrate our diversity. Daheshism also heightens our compassion towards all living species on earth, treat them humanely, lessen their suffering, and minimize the damage to their environments.
What Daheshism explains?
- There is only one Creating Force (God).
- The creation of the universe/multiverse serves a purpose.
- Life is everywhere in the universe.
- There is no conflict between religion and science.
- The story of Adam and Eve is only one small segment of earth’s life cycles.
- The essence of all religions is the same.
- Life doesn’t begin at birth and doesn’t end in death.
- Reincarnation is a transition between one state of life and another.
- The universe/multiverse are governed by a system of Divine Justice.
